Shortlist places for three of town’s eateries in awards
A TRIO of Stockport eateries are celebrating after being shortlisted for the CityLife Awards.
The awards - run by our sister paper the Manchester Evening News - have 15 categories in food, drink and entertainment that are open to a public vote.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony on January 30 with voting closing on January 26.
Indian Tiffin Room, in Cheadle and Where The Light Gets In, in Stockport centre, have been shortlisted for best restaurant.
The Mounting Stone, in Bramhall, is in the running for best pub.
Councillor Kate Butler, executive member for economy and regeneration, said: “It’s great to see Stockport’s food and drink offer once again being celebrated in prestigious awards.
“I’d urge everyone to use their vote to help see their favourite crowned the winner.
“It’s been exciting to see new restaurants and bars opening across Stockport over the past few months, and how these are already going from strength to strength as our town’s food and drink offer undergoes a revival.
“I wish each every success.”
