Kids are on the ball thanks to McDonald’s

-

YOUNG footballers have been treated to new kit thanks to a McDonald’s scheme.

Heaton Mersey based Stockport Vikings FC were treated to new kits by McDonald’s franchisee Stuart Broadbelt and the McDonald’s FA Kit Scheme.

To mark the occasion Stockport Vikings FC held an event at their ground, inviting Stuart, who owns the McDonald’s in Merseyway, to come along and celebrate the under 7s receiving their new strip of kits for this year’s season.

Stockport Vikings FC have been providing football coaching, training and matches for more 28 years. Their aim is to provide a first class, safe, and enjoyable environment for the players.

Viking’s treasurer Shaun Wilkinson, said: “We’re hugely grateful to McDonald’s for donating a new kit for our under 7s team. An average team strip costs around £500 per season, so this really is a huge saving for us and means we can spend the money on other areas of the club that need it.”
