County Family get together
I HAVE talked, via this column, about the ‘County Family’ and there was more evidence for suggesting, this past week, that it not only exists but is positively thriving.
The County Family is not an inward looking entity but has community links, and following the magnificent effort pre-Xmas by County supporters the Supporters Cooperative was able to follow up the previously delivered large amount of donated items to the Wellspring, with a further delivery along with cash donations left with us for the Stockport homeless charity.
After the weekend the focus went even wider as County Historian Marcus Heap travelled all the way to the Isle of Wight to locate ex County star from the 1966/67 season, Keith Allen, ahead of a planned reunion in April of that season’s Championship winning team.
