To ensure Keith gets medal he deserves

-

receive a medal. Keith left halfway through the season having clocked up 23 league games.

When this news broke, the County Family sprung into action again, and an appeal went out for donations to ensure we could raise £700 to cover the cost of acquiring a Football League exact gold replica. Just 2 and one half days later the fund had reached £800 and Keith would get his medal thanks to the generosity of the County Family. Moving on to this week-end and the Stockport arm of the County Family are reaching out in the direction of County exiles in High Peak district.

This Saturday, 21 January, the Supporters Cooperative takes its popular Quiz Night on tour, from 6pm, at the New Mills Football Club, with prizes and raffle etc to supplement the well pitched, none eye wateringly difficult, questions devised by Quiz Master Nick Lee.

Things are starting to roll now and along with 2 Stockport teams definitely signed up ( Ken Dodd’s Dad’s Dead Dog and Coop Elite), the YB are likely to put a team together . Red Hatter is putting a High Peak team in, and New Mills FC are putting at least one team in ( possibly as many as 4), and one of these is the New Mills first team - the event being used by the club’s new manager as a team bonding exercise.

As mentioned above... two time winners ‘Coop Elite ‘are in the mix again, and their belief in being able to retain their title displays a confidence bordering on complacency- how very dare they!

Come on County fans ...spoil Coop Elite’s Saturday...enter a team, or as an individual via johngiles20@hotmail.com - no team? ...... we will sort one for you and at £3 a person what’s not to like?
