WE are all aware of the huge investment and developments taking place that will make Stockport a great place for business, residents and visitors alike.

But much like Stockport, Starkey has had to overcome challenges and change perceptions to encourage more people to feel comfortable discussing issues around hearing.
Years ago, wearing spectacles was definitely not a preferred option, now specs are seen as an important fashion accessory.
The team at Starkey demonstrated that investment and innovation in both product and their approach to their customers is the key to their continued growth.

Even a minor loss of hearing or a condition known as tinnitus can negatively impact on the quality of someone’s life and is personally detrimental.
But it can also impact on business, in the workplace and among colleagues.
Around 30 per cent of us will experience tinnitus at some point in our lives – widely described as ‘ringing in the ears’.
As an indication of Starkey’s innovative approach to helping us face issues such as tinnitus, it is holding a drop in tinnitus event from 10am to 2pm on Tuesday, February 7, giving the opportunity to find out more and learn how to manage the condition.
It is also a good opportunity for business owners to find out how they can help colleagues to manage their hearing better.
