Rare toys exhibition
A HEATON Norris photographer has opened a treasure chest of toys to the public.
Stephen Marland collects toys made by Cheadle manufacturer Galt and has amassed around 60, dating from the 1960s to the 1980s.
Together with a fellow member of the group Manchester Modernists, Natalie Ainscough, he has staged an exhibition at Manchester Central Library.
Galt Toys opened in 1961, supplying toys in the UK and Europe. Stephen said: “Some of them are highly collectible now and quite rare.”
The exhibition is on at the library until May 30.
