Time is running out to grab awards glory

-

IT’S your last chance to get an entry in for Stockport Business Awards this week before Friday’s deadline!

The awards, organised by Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants, were set up in 2012 and the sixth ceremony this year is set to be bigger and better than ever.

On 12 October, 400 of Stockport’s finest will gather to celebrate business excellence in the borough.

The awards have become a social highlight for the whole of the business community and being shortlisted has brought huge benefits to the companies involved.

Rhys Owen, one of the judges, recently gave this advice; “Firstly, sit down and DO IT! As the saying goes, you have to be in it to win it and as entries are free, what do you have to lose? Dedicate an afternoon to writing your entry and you’re already ahead of the game.

Secondly, make sure you read the pointers in the application pack. The key points state what the judges are looking for in each category.

The easier you make it for the judges to follow your strengths in the chosen category, the more likely they are to include you in the elite list of shortlisted businesses.

Finally, feel free to enter more than one category! However, remember to tailor your applications to suit the requirements in each category.”

It’s free and easy to enter online at www.stockportbusinessawards.co.uk, but you must submit by May 26. If you’ve got any questions you can contact Chelsea Maher from the organisers on 0161 495 4700. THE full list of categories are:

●● BUSINESS of the Year (over £5m) ●●BUSINESS of the Year (£1-5m) ●●BUSINESS of the Year (up to £1m) ●●MOST Promising Young Business ●●BUSINESS Person of the Year ●●EMPLOYER of the Year ●●INTERNATIONAL Business of the Year ●●THE Innovation Award ●●BEST Creative Agency ●●BEST Food & Drink Retailer ●●BEST Not-for-Profit Organisation ●●EXCELLENCE in CSR
