MBE HONOUR

A DIRECTOR of the Together Trust has received an MBE for services to children in the north west.

Jill Sheldrake has worked for the Stockport charity for more than 20 years and was joined by her parents and daughter, Charlotte, nine, as she received her honour from Prince Charles. Through the charity, Jill has helped support young people and vulnerable adults during difficult phases in their lives.

This has included people with behavioural challenges, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, complex health needs and autism.

Jill said: “The last 23 years with the Together Trust have been inspirational for me.

“I am so proud of the MBE, but feel this is not an individual award. It is an award that belongs to the Together Trust, its staff and the people we support.”
