Disabled charity to mark 40th birthday with a summer fair
A CHARITY which works to help disabled people live independently is celebrating its 40th birthday with a summer fair.
Independent Options, based in Hazel Grove, will open its doors to the public for the event on Sunday, July 9.
There are garlands, balloons and party hats covering every spare inch of the Children and Family Centre as the charity prepares to transform its traditional summer fair into a huge birthday bash.
From 11am to 4pm on the day, there will be fairground rides, a barbecue, balloons, cakes, garden games, face painting and a photo booth.
The event, held at 67 Chester Road, Hazel Grove, Stockport, will raise funds for Independent Options.
Fundraising manager Lucy Sawdon-Molloy said “This is a very special year for us here at Independent Options as we celebrate 40 years of our fantastic charity.
“We’re excited to invite everyone to come along and join in the fun on July 9 and we look forward to sharing some of the memories our wonderful community have made with us over the last four decades.”
