PUT HIM ON THE LIST

-

I MADE a will several years ago in which I left a thousand pounds to each of my grandchildren. I now have a great-grandson, and naturally wish him to have the same as the other family members. Is my existing will sufficient for this purpose, or should I add a codicil? UNLESS your will was drafted to take into account new arrivals you will have to either add a codicil or write a new will – it’s often as cheap to do the latter if it’s on computer, and your will is probably due for a review in any case. If the new clause says something like ‘to each of my grandchildren and great-grandchildren’ you won’t need to alter your will again for this purpose until you have great-great grandchildren! »»Call Bromleys Solicitors LLP on 0161 330 6821 or visit www.bromleys.co.uk If you have any legal questions, write to Property Law, MEN Media, Mitchell Henry House, Hollinwood Avenue, Chadderton OL9 8EF, or email mail@ lawQs.co.uk
