All systems go as Supporters Cooperative
ON Sunday 3 September, at 9.30am, from outside Edgeley Park, the home of Stockport County, the third Hatters Half Marathon , promoted by Stockport County Supporters Cooperative, and sponsored by Stockport’s own Robinson’s Brewery, will be staged.
At the time of writing, Stockport’s premier trail/ road Half Marathon had attracted 200 runners from up and down the UK to the start line alongside Hardcastle Road.

The trail and road race has proved very popular and a feature of the event has been the quality of the organisation and the friendly efficient input from the volunteers who turn out on the day and act as marshals or do other essential jobs.
We need over 60 volunteers to ensure we can do Stockport proud and give the runners value for their entry fees. Are you in a position to help out and join Team Hatters Half on 3 September? If so please contact johngiles20@hotmail. com, that would be a massive help!
Supporters Cooperative member Des Greene meanwhile is working towards raising a minimum of £500 to boost the Guardian Account by running the Hatters Half.
This is a tremendous effort on Des’s part and a magnificent contribution to the Guardian Account which continues to grow ( currently standing at £33500).
Des greatly values the support given to him thus far , and his Just Giving Account contains his latest update as to the rigours of training en route to him completing said 13.1 miles.
