QUIET BIKE RIDES FROM THE HEATONS

OUR rides are open to all and the SLH team particularly welcome those who want to get back on their bikes after a break or who are new to cycling, as well as families with children.

They will be led by experienced cycle leaders who will make sure that no-one is left behind. By request, a couple of the rides this year are longer and more challenging. ●●Sunday, July 23, Halls circular route. More challenging. A FAIRLY long ride, taking in the various halls around Stockport. Starting at Brinksway Bridge in Heaton Norris to see Pendlebury, Bredbury, Goyt, Offerton, Bramall, Bruntwood and Abney Halls. With a café stop at one of them.

Meet at 10.15am: Pedestrianised Brinksway Bridge over the Mersey, near Pyramid, Heaton ●●Sunday, September 10, Moravian Settlement and Portland Basin Museum ON the Sunday of Heritage weekend, this combines two of our previous popular destinations that are close together.

Going on well surfaced paths and the Ashton canal towpath, step back in time to the Moravian Settlement at Fairfield.
