Three shortlisted for Business of the Year
STOCKPORT Business Awards is in its sixth year, having been set up by Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants back in 2012 to recognise and reward business excellence in the town.
Each week we’re going to be telling you a little bit more about the companies that have made the shortlist this year.
Business of the Year (up to £1m turnover) is sponsored by Orbit Developments and the shortlisted companies in this category are ECS Consultants, Hatters, and Platform 81.
ECS Consultants is a firm of building services consulting engineers established in 1998 by Steve Levell, formed on the principle of a personalised, responsive service backed-up by innovative and sound technical knowledge.
They have achieved controlled growth yearon-year, built largely on repeat commissions from a loyal and diverse client base in both the public and private sector.
Hatters is a Stockport company through and through. They are experts in promotional merchandise and print solutions and have been since 1992.
Their mission is to be the best in the north west. They get to know customers inside out and gain an in-depth understanding of their needs so they can offer creative solutions that complement the brand, with outstanding levels of customer service.
Platform 81 is a growing digital and design agency with creative labs in both Stockport and Bromsgrove. Boast- ing a team of 15, the nine-year-old business prides itself on a flexible, personal approach to the delivery of tailored digital marketing strategies that make a real impact.
Financial growth has been consistently achieved over the past four years thanks to a strong business development strategy.
Orbit Developments have been headline sponsors and staunch supporters of the awards since their inauguration.
The winners will be announced at a BlackTie dinner at Stockport Town Hall on October 12 which 400 of Stockport’s finest business people will attend.
