School goes to top of the class
CHILDREN, staff and parents at Brabyns Preparatory School in Marple are celebrating after receiving the best results possible in their latest inspection.
The co-educational, independent school underwent an integrated educational quality and focused compliance inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) in June.
ISI Inspectors operate under the Ofsted framework, approved by the Department for Education.
According to the report’s key findings, ‘the quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements is ‘excellent’ and ‘the quality of the pupils’ personal development is excellent’.
This is the highest grade a school can be awarded under the ISI Inspection scheme.
The report also praised the school’s ‘calm environment where all pupils can flourish’ and also the ‘rich curricular and extra-curricular offerings’, and describes the social development of pupils as ‘outstanding’.
Headteacher Lee Sanders said: “We are thrilled with the outcome of our latest ISI inspection, which is a true testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of all our staff and pupils.
“We are committed to working in partnership with parents to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that enables every child to flourish and I am delighted that this is reflected in the inspector’s comments.”
