More than 300 guests attended, joined by the mayor of Stockport, Linda Holt and local MP Mary Robinson.

This year was the fourth annual tea party and Mary had the chance to talk to local residents.

She said: “It’s brilliant that events like the Big Bramhall Tea Party play such a big part in our community.

“It was great to see so many guests having a good time and to be able to speak to so many people.

“Many thanks to Wendy Green and the I Love Bramhall team for organising such a wonderful event, groups like this are the backbone of our community and I look forward to supporting many more events like this in the future.”

Wendy Green, founder of I Love Bramhall and event organiser, said: “I am incredibly grateful to all the businesses, community groups and individuals that help me to put this together, it’s a logistical nightmare, but when I see the finished result, the smiling faces and amazing teamwork from everyone, I know it’s been worthwhile.

“I love drawing the community together and this event is particularly special as the young and old mix with one another, bridging relationships and creating special memories.”
