Charity is on awards shortlist
A CHARITY that helps women get back into work has been shortlisted in the North West Charity Awards 2017.
Smart Works Greater Manchester, which is based in Stockport, provides struggling or vulnerable women with everything they need to succeed – including interview coaching, confidence-building and a professional looking outfit.
It is a finalist in the ‘Small Charity, Big Impact’ category, which is for those with an income of less than £400,000 per year, while founder Louise ParrottBates has been shortlisted for Trustee of the Year.
Louise, who is also CEO of Stockport-based charity Pure Innovations, said: “A visit to Smart Works is an inspirational moment on a woman’s journey back to employment.”
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on October 11.
