Young business brains

-

YOUNGSTERS at Cale Green Primary showed their business brains to win the Stockport Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition.

They were among 200 pupils across the borough who took part with the final taking place at Stockport Town Hall.

Students at Cale Green Primary, on Shaw Road South, set up a company called First Aid Kids, which produced an app to help people of all ages with first aid.

This was linked to a website where users of the app could donate to a worthy cause.

The final was run in the style of Dragon’s Den where children set up a trade stall and were grilled about their products by judges.

Runners up were Alexandra Park Primary, from Edgeley, with Queensgate Primary, Bramhall, being named as having best trade stand.

Councillor Dean Fitzpatrick, cabinet member for education, said: “I’d like to say congratulations to Cale Green Primary for winning first prize in the competition. I also want to say a massive well done to everyone who took part.”
