Bawdy joke book is royal wedding present

PRINCE Harry got a rather bawdy surprise wedding gift after a ‘friend’ ordered him a rude joke book written by a Stockport author.

Nick Fisher, 54, of Reddish, released The Best Husband and Wife Joke Book Ever on Amazon last month.

And he was amazed when among his first orders was one to post to HRH Prince Harry, Kensington Palace, London.

The order was placed in the name of Anthony ‘Blues and Royals’ Henderson.

Harry served in the Blues and Royal regiment and even wore its uniform at his wedding leading Nick to think that an old Army pal ordered it for the Prince as a prank.

The dad-of-two said: “When I first saw the order I thought it was my mates playing a joke.

“But when I Googled Blues and Royals I then thought it must be one of Harry’s Army pals playing the joke.

“Even though sometimes the Royals can seem quite aloof Harry comes across as a good bloke, who is down to earth with a sense of humour.

“I’m sure he will have heard similar jokes in the Army so hopefully he will have a broad sense of humour and like it.”

Nick, who lives off Houldsworth Square with his wife and two daughters, is a former bricklayer who now works in property management.

But he began writing adult humour books as a hobby in 2015 and The Best Husband and Wife Joke Book Ever is his sixth.

He described it as containing tongue-in-cheek old school jokes, such as the mother-in-law ones that Les Dawson was famous for.

Prince Harry married Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle earlier this month.

Nick said: “This is definitely the most famous person I have had a book ordered for.”
