Chance to share in £1m fund

THE new £1 million Stockport Local Fund for local activities and projects is now open for applications until Sunday, August 5.

If you’re passionate about your neighbourhood, you will know what you most love about your local community and you’ll have great ideas on how to make it even better.

The fund aims to support ideas that make a difference in your neighbourhood.

Coun Elise Wilson, cabinet member for reform and governance at Stockport council, said: “The online application process is quick and easy. You can even submit it on your mobile phone.

“Anyone can apply – funding will range from £200 up to £10,000 per project.

“Don’t miss out on this chance to bring your great ideas to life.”

If you’re not quite ready at this point, the good news is there will be more opportunities to apply in the near future.
