New headteacher for grammar school
HULME Hall Grammar School has appointed a new headteacher following a rigorous interview process.
On June 29, the governors formally announced that Dean Grierson will take the post.
Chair of governors Tim Lowe said: “We are delighted that Dean has accepted the position and feel that he embraces the family values of the school.
“His vision for moving forward sits comfortably with the ethos of the school and we are excited to be entering a new chapter.”
Dean, currently deputy head at St Bede’s College, began his career as a teacher of economics and business studies in 1996.
He brings 10 years of senior leadership experience to the role, including seven years as deputy head.
He said: “I am very proud and excited to have been appointed the new headmaster of Hulme Hall Grammar School and to have been entrusted with the responsibility of leading the school on the next phase of its growth and development.
“I have been impressed with the dedication of the staff and have witnessed the warm, caring atmosphere that provides each child with the best possible opportunity to develop academically and as individuals.”
Dean will be working closely with the team at Hulme Hall over the next academic term to ensure a smooth transition before taking up his new position in January 2019.
