Best of the bunch

Watsonia ‘Royal Salmon’ NATIVE to South Africa and named after British botanist Sir William Watson, it is a perennial corm with sword-like leaves and tubular flowers. This variety has lovely salmon pink flowers but they also come in white, red and orange.

Plant in well-drained soil in full sunshine. It can be a little tender so if you always lift your gladioli in autumn, lift this too. Otherwise, in milder climates, a winter mulch should protect it.
