Of affairs for Supporters Cooperative
family, being entrusted with the task of ensuring that our members and County supporters generally, are represented, and their views made known to the Club.
There is clearly a lot to do in that respect and it is vital that the Cooperative reflects its members views accurately, thus it is important that those members play as full a part in the running of the Cooperative as time allows.
There are five vacancies for the Cooperative Board this year, three being current Board members required to stand down and two others.
I have said before that it would be most pleasing should we have a contested election, rather than candidates being returned unopposed, and things may just be running that way this time.
In this respect I can say for certain that 2 the current Board will be standing again, and the rumour mill insists that ‘ 4 new candidates are going to stand’ If true that would be excellent news. How about you, can you participate?
You sure can, and here’s some helpful info for you:November 17 ( 3pm)Candidates / Proposers must be members by this date. November 21 ( 5pm) – Closing date for nominations. Also to vote at the AGM new members must be signed up by this date and time. November 26 (7.30 pm)AGM at the Spinning Top.
If the elections are contested, ballot papers will then go out to all members – genuine democracy in action.
