Marple proving success Storey

- GOLF GEOFF GARNETT

JAMIE Storey is delighted with the start he has made as the head professional at Marple Golf Club following his recent move from the Moorend Driving Range where he was the teaching professional.

Jamie said: “I’m very proud to become the head professional at Marple Golf Club and so lucky to be at a great club in the area I live.

“Since arriving all the members have been very friendly and supportive and I’m looking forward to the future here.

“It’s been a long journey from joining the PGA in 2009 to finally becoming a Head Professional, with many great memories along the way.

“I spent 12 years in total at Stockport Golf Club in which I learned a lot from firstly head Professional Mike Peel and then Gary Norcott and I can’t thank them both enough for everything I’ve learned and experienced over the years.

“I’m excited for 2019 with many plans in the pipeline, from new stock arriving in the spring, an All Weather practice surface under construction, to my state of the art swing room which is also currently in development.

“There will be plenty of opportunities for people to learn to play golf and a great club in Marple to do so and I am looking forward to the coming months there.”
