WHY WE NEED FINAL SAY ON BREXIT
AFTER reading your article (‘Town Hall plans for a no-deal Brexit,’ February 20), I am shocked and scared.
Why has the government still not allowed Stockport nor other Greater Manchester Councils to see the impact assessments of a No Deal Brexit on our area?
How on earth are councils supposed to plan?
No Deal Brexit will result in major disruption, medical and food shortages, security issues and civil unrest; no wonder government preparations are already being looked at for the possible imposition of martial law after a no-deal Brexit.
This seems a long way from the sunny Brexit uplands that were promised in 2016.
