CONCERT TO HELP CHARITY

-

AFTER a number of years trying to support a particular charity I have now managed to put ‘the wheels in motion.’

Yes as a member of my employers charities committee I nominated Epilepsy Action as a possible charity for them to support during 2019.

So following an Equity Partners meeting they agreed to support Epilepsy Action and Headway as their two charities for 2019.

The thing now was to think what can I do to raise funds. It has always been in the past for the nominee to do a ‘Big Event’ - a skydive, a marathon, or 10K run or even a bike ride across Tanzania. Well not being in shape to take on these sorts of challenges, all I could come up with was something I am use to doing and that was to arrange a concert.

Having made enquiries for artistes, Venues, Cost and the facilities it was decided that on June 8, 2019 the Werneth Concert Band would put on a concert at Romiley Forum at 7.30pm in Aid of Epilepsy Action.

There will also be a raffle. If you know of anyone suffering with this condition or a friend neighbour or relative who may like a night out and one that is supporting a worthy cause then please let them know of this and book it in your diaries.

Tickets are £8 available from Werneth Concert band on online, Gainsborough Interiors Romiley or through myself by telephoning me on 0161 430 8518.

Time is of the essence. If you cannot make it but would still like to make a financial donation then please pass them on to me or go online to the charities website www. epilepsy.org.uk and go to their justgiving webpage. Thanking you ever so much.
