PHILLIP Schofield and Holly Willoughby made a touching gesture towards Stockport’s Figen Murray as they holidayed together.

The This Morning duo enjoyed their half-term break together with their families in the Algarve.

Last month, Figen, the mum of Arena attack victim Martyn Hett, appeared on the ITV daytime show to talk about her campaign to tighten up venue security - which is being backed by our sister paper the Manchester

Evening News.

During the chat, she spoke out against critics of her ‘Martyn’s Law’ campaign - with them suggesting the increased cost for added security would cause problems.

She said: “What price do you pay on a human life?

“We lost Martyn and 21 other people died.

“Ask those families - the cost shouldn’t come into that.

“And if the worst comes to the worst, which mother would mind paying a couple of pounds more for a ticket to keep their child safe?”

But also while on the popular programme, Figen spoke about her handmade teddy, Jordan Bear, and its jet-setting.

Figen regularly sends out the ‘peace bear’ with a note asking people to pass him on to others on their travels - and how it always returns to her, safely back in Manchester, before going off on another journey.

And he is quite the jet-setter – having visited North America, Bali, the Cayman Islands, Ibiza, Rome, South Africa, and Dubai so far.

Not missing the opportunity, Phillip asked if he could take the bear on his own holiday to which Figen said: “Yes, absolutely.”

Giving updates on social media, Phil posted a photo alongside co-host Holly and the knitted blue bear with the caption: “He’s having a lovely time #FigenMurray #JordanBear.”

In the photos, Jordan Bear is wearing a pair of swimming trunks and Figen mentioned on Twitter what people should notice.

She said: “Note the bees on his trunks folks,” alongside the bee emoji which has become synonymous with Manchester’s strength and unity over the past few years.”
