THERE’S plenty online for children during coronavirus lockdown but what about for all the dogs stuck at home with their owners?

Well trainer Tracy Winterton, owner of Academy 4 Dogs, on Mount Street, central Srockport, has provided the answer.

Shortly before the outbreak struck she had set up a second parallel business called Paws in Hand Online Dog Training.

And during the Covid19 pandemic she has uploaded free content with training tutorials for cannine pets and their owners.

Subjects covered are loose lead walking, recall and training games, and biting. Her website also has a puppies on lockdown section, where advice on what to do should the five month window to ‘socialise’ your puppy be during this time.

Tracy, 35, of Home Farm Avenue, said: “A lot of people are really concerned about their puppies.

”The big worry is that during lockdown they are not getting exposed to the things they need to be exposed to. Dogs have always been an important part of the family.

“A lot of people are doing free things for children but it is also important to keep a dog entertained and happy.

“Especially because at the moment they are only allowed one walk a day, which is not sufficient for a lot of them.”

Academy 4 Dogs is in Stockport but Tracy is running her online business from her home in Macclesfield, which she shares with her husband, their two young children, three dogs and four guinea pigs.

Her website www.pawsinhandonlinedogtraining. com also offers paid for social tutorials on Mondays and Fridays, which cost £25 for three sessions.
