Lookers Renault Stockport Celebrates Its Reopening
Lookers Renault Stockport has celebrated the reopening of its dealership following it’s rebuild after a fire that devastated the site in September last year. The site’s New Car and Aftersales teams relocated to nearby Wellington Road during the rebuild and continued to support its customers from this temporary site. The rebuild of the St Marys Road Site, costing over £3million has created a state of the art sales and servicing area, and upgraded facilities for both staff and customers. New meeting rooms, team break rooms, an indoor handover area for that exciting moment customers collect their new car, are just a few of the additions to the dealership, which is now seen as the Flagship of the Lookers Renault sites.
The Workshop has increased its capacity going from 10 ramps to 12, incorporating all the latest technology Michael Scott, Franchise Director for Lookers Renault Said “It’s great to see the dealership being rebuilt over the past months. The team have been fantastic since September last year having been faced with several challenges alongside the temporary relocation of our St Marys Way dealership to Wellington Road. This brand new dealership delivers a modern, fresh and functional environment for both the team and our customers”. David Sowerby who was appointed as Brand Manager for the site in November said “The fire and relocation has been a challenge for everyone concerned, and I’d like to thank our customers and colleagues for sticking with us during this period. All clouds have a silver lining and I’m excited to see the site reopen with a facility we are incredibly proud of, and I know myself and the team are looking forward to welcoming our customers through the doors”. The recent launch event which welcomed guests via appointment only, to support government guidelines and customer safety, saw over 200 people through the dealership for a personal tour across the opening weekend.
