Power cut hits 2,500 homes

A HUGE power cut affected around 2,500 properties in Stockport.

It affected homes in the SK4 postcode.

The full tweet, put up at 9.30am on Wednesday, Sepetember 16 said: “We are aware of a power cut in SK4, Stockport, affecting 2,500 properties.

“We have a team currently on their way to the area now. We will provide a further update asap.”

It also appeared to be affecting residents with an SK5 postcode, according to posts on social media.

In a response to the tweet by Electricity North West, one social media user wrote: “Appreciate your quick update.

“I’m SK5, no power here either.”
