New boss at helm of support charity
A CHARITY support network has appointed a new chief executive.
Sector3, which supports the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sectors across Stockport named Jo McGrath as their new chief executive.
Jo had also been the strategic lead for Sector3 since October 2019.
She said: “As CEO, my focus will be to develop Sector3 into a trusted, respected and independent resource for the voluntary community, faith and social enterprise sector here in Stockport.
“It’s my purpose to ensure we support our fantastic voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector (VCFSE) to navigate the challenges ahead.”
A member of the Greater Manchester Social Enterprise Advisory Group, Jo has been involved in the sector for the past 20 years.
Sector3 has recently won £48,000 of funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, to help them offer the sector more support with ‘data, insights and impact.’
Steve Hughes, Chair of the Board of Trustees at Sector3 said: “Throughout the selection process Jo stood out as a strong, inclusive and dynamic leader.
“We are confident we have a great new CEO in Jo and we are looking forward to continuing on this journey with her.”
