ASHAMED OF DIRTY TOWN

LITTER! Yes the Brits are a dirty nation and litter’s in the news a lot lately.

It’s getting worse in many places in this country, and Stockport is no exception.

A great job has been done rejuvenating around the station, yet if you walk from the station down to the bus station the path that leads down is and has been for many months an absolute disgrace; the litter along Gt Egerton Street continues to increase; the roadside litter on the new road leading to the airport, especially going to Handforth Dean is appalling and so the list continues.

What does this present Council do about it? Very little if anything at all. It makes me ashamed to live in Stockport. R. Davidson Comptsall
