Delight at ‘amazing’ news nightclub is set to reopen
STOCKPORT residents have welcomed the ‘amazing news’ that the nightclub at Bredbury Hall will be reopening.
Bredbury Hall collapsed into administration last October but was snapped up by new owners Vine Hotels in a £5m deal this year.
The landmark hotel and country club is also home to a nightlife venue inside a converted 16th-century barn, which will make a return in the near future.
The news was announced on the Bredbury Hall Hotel & Club Facebook page last night.
The post said: “EXCITING NEWS!! We can confirm that following the sale of Bredbury Hall, the nightclub will be re-opening!
“We will release the opening date once the events calendar has been finalised. We can’t wait to welcome you all back to The Club.”
Thousands of people rushed to the comments to celebrate the good news, with one person saying it was the ‘best Facebook post I have seen in a long time.’
One comment said: “Such good news a landmark that should live on. Such a diverse venue and experience. I always had a good night at Bredders and safe to leave alone anytime with all the taxis lined up outside loved it x”
Another added: “My husband and I met at Bredders and next month we celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary (50 years). Good luck with the relaunch.”
One user posted: “Now this is just amazing news, so pleased the whole place has pulled through these very sad times, hopefully now coming out the other end at last.”
Back in May, when the sale of the venue was confirmed, Vine Hotels chairman Greg Dyke told BusinessLive: “Bredbury Hall is an exciting property.
“Combining a superb location with heritage and a long-established connection with its local community.
“It has immense potential for the future, and we look forward to helping Bredbury Hall take its rightful place as one of Stockport’s best hotels.”
The hotel will reopen with a 200-cover restaurant, 60-cover lounge-bar and brasserie, ten meeting rooms for up to 200 for a cocktail reception, a 180-delegate theatre, a fitness centre and the barn space holding up to 900 people.
