Proudly working together
THERE has always been a close relationship between the Supporters Cooperative and Help the Hatters.
Both organisations have a methodology that guides them in supporting County supporters and the club. If the methodologies differ, the end result is invariably the same namely that both club and the County fan base gain.
Recent months have seen the two organisations working closer following the removal of Jim Gannon as County manager, culminating in a high degree of cooperation in support of the Danny Bergara Statue Appeal which is a joint effort established and run by Help the Hatters and ourselves.
That appeal is poised to top £12,000, a figure both supporters’ groups can be proud of!
In this respect the Supporters Cooperative have been anxious to revisit and restart the highly successful Community Ticket Initiative which was abruptly curtailed due to the pandemic, and Help the Hatters are joining us again to support same.
The club have agreed to honour the 800 tickets that remain undistributed from the 2019/20 season, and happily they also want to continue this scheme beyond 800.
This latest joint effort gets tickets out there is via local sports clubs, but fine detail remains to be ironed out in discussion with the club.
The initiative does pose a challenge for the club who have their own schools scheme working well, but we think that we have proved that the two schemes can be run concurrently with a successful outcome, attracting a high volume of youngsters who just might turn out to be the cornerstone of County’s future.
