Join me as I go back to the top for such an amazing challenge
ON Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24 you could take part in the Trafford Palazzo Abseil and raise money for St Ann’s Hospice!
I took on the challenge last year after my friend Gayle Shaw, the Corporate Fundraiser at St Ann’s Hospice, recommended the event to me.
My friend Gayle does so much charity work she’s very inspiring.
I wanted to volunteer more and take part in events that raise money for the hospice.
A very close friend of mine also passed away last year, which spurred me on to do a personal challenge that would put myself out of my comfort zone.
As I climbed up the stairs of the Trafford Palazzo, I was absolutely terrified!
I really didn’t think I could do it once I got to the top, but there were so many supportive people who said I could do the challenge.
It’s an amazing challenge and I’ve enjoyed it so much that I’m doing it again this year!
For a discounted price of £30, you could take part in the largest abseil event in the North West this summer.
You could be abseiling 170 feet down the side of Barton Square Tower with lots of other brave supporters!
St Ann’s Hospice asks that the minimum sponsorship you raise for this event is £250.
The money you raise will help the hospice to keep providing specialist care to people affected by life-limiting illnesses across Greater Manchester.
I felt so proud of what I had achieved for the hospice and for myself.
Raising money for such a great charity is what has inspired me to take on the abseil again this year.
Everyone at the event is constantly cheering you on, it is a wonderful experience.
