COUNTY SUPPORTERS COOPERATIVE
ONE thing appears to be certain namely that the new board of the Supporters Cooperative do not intend to hang about wondering they are looking towards the festive season with a full agenda!
First off, this Saturday having obtained the
Club’s permission, they will be taking a bucket collection in support of Stockport’s magnificent homeless charity The Wellspring, before County’s game with Sutton United on Saturday 16 December.
The collection will be organised from the Grassy Knoll next to the Cheadle End turnstiles from 1 pm until just prior to kick off and if supporters want to donate and have no cash on them, they can do so via our card reader.
There will be no Food / Clothing collection this year, but we are sure that, with the usual generous support of County fans, we can make a substantial contribution towards making the lives of Stockport’s homeless easier.

Within a couple of days of the board’s first meeting, contact had been made with representatives of the Club and we can confirm that, as a result, the Cooperative board will be meeting with the board of the Club on 29 January 2024 giving our members and County supporters generally a chance to submit questions on points of concern to us for submission to the Club and thus have their voice heard where it matters!
And, rumour has it that Hannah Stewart the internationally renowned sculptor who produced the magnificent statue of Danny Bergara that now stands so proudly outside Edgeley Park, is now about to offer a small bronze version of the Danny Bergara sculpture to County supporters and the world. We will keep you updated on that one!
