Fan-favourite Christmas dinner in a cup is making a comeback for the holidays

- BY MAISIE LAWTON

THE festive spirit is in full swing as Stockport County brings back its talk-of-theterraces winter warmer Christmas dinner in a cup.

It’s returned to celebrate the first birthday of the County Courtyard at Edgeley Park.

This viral sensation, dripping in gravy and packed with all the trimmings of a traditional Christmas feast, became a must-have for both fans and food lovers alike.

Packed to the brim in a portable Christmas feast, this pot comes complete with roast turkey, pigs in a blanket, creamy mash, savoury stuffing, and even a nod to tradition with a Brussels sprout - all served up in a cup for £4.50. County fans will be able to pick up a Christmas dinner in a cup at the County Courtyard before the game and at half-time on Friday 22 December when County face Notts County.

As well as the Christmas dinner in a cup, the County faithful were in for an extra treat at the Sutton United game on the 16 December. Loaded roasties are on the menu with gravy and cheese sauce, cranberry sauce, turkey, bacon bits and stuffing. The County Courtyard fan zone was open on Saturday 16 and will be open again on Friday, December 22 at 18.15 and will serve up a host of other festive favourites before and after the match including pulled turkey Christmas ciabatta, mulled wine and boozy coffee.

Jonathan Vaughan, Chief Executive Officer for Stockport County said: “After seeing the love Christmas Dinner in a cup got from our fans and people across social media, there was no question, we had to bring the festive favourite back to celebrate the County Courtyard’s first birthday.

“It brings festive cheer and warms the souls of County fans on what’s typically one of the coldest weekends of the year.”
