COUNTY SUPPORTERS COOPERATIVE BY IAN BROWN
2023 has been a year of concerted effort by the Stockport County Supporters Cooperative.
The magnificent statue of Danny Bergara speaks to that and the recent collection on behalf of the Wellspring and the Stockport homeless people they support underlines it.
We can now confirm that the matchday bucket collection raised a massive £1064, and this figure excludes the donations taken via the Wellspring QR code – so huge thanks to County supporters for their generosity!
Looking forward into 2024, as I have indicated previously, we have plans!
Starting on Wednesday 31 January we stage another prestige event at The Loft, Stockport Gin, our ‘Evening with Osher Williams and Tommy Sword’ when the two former County aces take to the stage to converse with and entertain County supporters.
It was pleasing to be able to offer our members a substantial discount on the cost of a ticket and even more pleasing to confirm another sell out looks on the cards as we greet two of County’s top stars from past seasons!
Two days before this on 29 January we will meet with the Club to discuss matters of mutual importance. Questions are already being formulated so as to ensure that the views of County supporters are fully represented to the Club thus, if you have a question you want us to consider raising send it to info@ countysupporters coop.co.uk .
January will also probably see our ‘Consultation Exercise’ published allowing us to again obtain the widest possible insight into the views and concerns of County supporters whether they be our members or not, and we also hope to have received a positive response to our re-submitted application for renewal of the Edgeley Park Asset of Community Value.
We will keep you informed on all the above matters.
