Plenty of bargains in store at latest sale

BARGAIN hunters are in for a treat as St Ann’s Hospice is hosting a range of its popular distribution sales in the upcoming months.

There is another high demand £1 clearance sale at their distribution centre in Reddish on February 24.

There are a range of great items you can get your hands on including bric-a-brac, homeware, toys, games, books and even more all on sale for £1 or less!

Another distribution sale is taking place on March 23 with the fashion and accessories sale.

With a huge range of clothes, bags, shoes, accessories and jewellery all available for £1 or less you’ll definitely get some bargains!

Jenn Hughes, marketing and communications officer at St Ann’s Hospice, has been to a sale dedicated to fashion and accessories.

Jenn said: “Within two minutes of arriving, I found a nearly-new Monsoon party dress in my size.

“By the time I left, after spending an hour scouring the racks and shelves full of clothes, handbags, shoes, jewellery and jackets, I’d put together three full outfits for less than £10, including a pair of unworn Topshop boots and a brand new top. And it wasn’t just women’s clothes: a huge selection of men’s shirts, jackets and jeans were on offer, with plenty for children too.

“My friend picked up a pair of Startrite shoes for her nine-month old – usually over £40 – and a brand-new-with-tags tiger backpack.”

The distribution centre £1 sales started over three years ago and have raised more than £22,000.

There have been over 3,500 customers getting their hands on some real bargains as a team of staff and volunteers take the week before to set up the sales.

With a queue growing from 8am, people are ready to start shopping at 9am and the stock is replenished throughout the day.

The £1 monthly sales are always flowing with some great new and pre-loved items, with each sale being different to the sale before!

The sales start at 9am and finish at 12pm, at St Ann’s Distribution Centre, Bankfield Industrial Estate, Unit A1, Coronation Street, Reddish, SK5 7SE.
