ACARE home in Stockport has earned glowing reviews from residents in its most recent customer satisfaction survey.

Located at the heart of Hazel Grove village and nestled beside Torkington Park, an area of natural beauty, Fernlea opened in 2014 and offers first-class care to 48 residents.

The survey, carried out in December, asked residents to express their agreement with various statements.

These statements covered aspects such as service delivery, resident involvement in their care and perspectives on the team.

Additionally, participants had the opportunity to provide comments.

The care home staff were delighted with the consistently positive results, as numerous residents gave the highest score of 5/5 to all the statements.

Some of those glowing comments were: “The team are my family and I love every one of them’’ “The care team who work at Fernlea are brilliant and so friendly’’ “It is a pleasure having visitors coming to see me in such a lovely place’’ “They are a good bunch. I am treated like I would be by my friends so in that sense I don’t feel old or out of touch’’

“I feel like I have a lovely group of friends and we all have similar interests. Being a part of this makes my day a lot more enjoyable”

Many residents mentioned the activities team and the wide variety of events that fill Fernlea with an ever-present sound of laughter and a sense of fun.

The team are dedicated to ensuring that residents continue to enjoy all aspects of their daily lives, including recreational, cultural, social, and occupational activities.

They work extremely hard to ensure that there is a wide range of activities available and chances for residents to engage with their community.

And it seems the residents absolutely love it.

Heartwarming comments in the survey included:
