COUNTY SUPPORTERS COOPERATIVE
WITH November’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) not being quorate the Supporters Cooperative are required by rule to hold a Special General Meeting (SGM) within a specified time line to conclude the business that would have been dealt with at the AGM.
The SGM is arranged for 7pm on Monday 26 February 2024 at the Spinning Top (next to the Garrick Theatre on the A6) and business will include introduction of coopted board member and Comms / Media recruit Ed Chadwick and our newly appointed Independent Secretary Cath Shanley.
Amongst other matters on the agenda will be a discussion on the Edgeley Park Asset of Community Value renewal which is pending, the all important Treasurer’s Report and Accounts that need approval, along with a decision on our chosen charity of for the year – having been our choice for the last 4 or 5 years Stockport homeless charity The Wellspring must start favourites to remain our chosen charity but we have forged links also with a range of local charities of recent years so who knows?
All documents relative to the meeting have now been sent out to our members for their use on the night and we would especially appeal to any Stockport Express reader who is a Supporters Cooperative member to get to the meeting if they are able.
This will help us considerably and avoid being non-quorate again as we would need a minimum of 20 members to be present for the SGM to go ahead , so please attend if you can.
