Stuart’s stories on distillery tour
Storyteller Stuart McHardy will be spinning his incredible tales of Scottish myths and legends during a special event at the Famous Grouse Experience in Crieff next month.
Gifted performer Stuart is the highlight of the ‘Glenturret Tour, Tasting and Storytelling Evening’ at the Strath capital visitor attraction on Friday, December 8, from 6-9pm.
The event is aimed at adults and those in attendance will enjoy the Glenturret Distillery Tour, followed by an exclusive Glenturret tasting session with the opportunity to try five drams – including some distillery exclusives that are no longer available for sale – and, finally, a storytelling session courtesy of Stuart.
A regular contributor to BBC Radio Scotland’s McGregor’s Gathering, Stuart has been a key collector of traditional Scots stories since winning a Scots language storytelling bursary in 1999.
Since then, he has devoted increasing time and energy to sharing his work through live storytelling.
He also brings these stories to a reading audience through his books, which include ‘ Pictish Tales and Legends’, ‘On the Trail of Scotland’s Myth and Legends’ and ‘The White Cockade and other Jacobite Tales’.
The evening, part of the ‘Make It Famous’ series of events, costs £35 per person – which includes canapés.
