Disappointment as Luncarty take all three points

-

Vale of Earn were beaten 4-2 at home by Luncarty ASC on Saturday.

The Market Park side dominated the Division One clash for large periods of the afternoon but defensive errors would prove to be an Achilles’ heel.

Despite their dominance, Vale went in at half-time 2-0 down but got back into the game with a well-taken strike from Aaron Smith

Euan Carter then drew Vale level from the penalty sport.

Looking to push on and win the game at this point, Vale were hit by two more Luncarty goals – both of which came from set pieces – and couldn’t find a way to get back into an encounter played in tricky conditions.

Despite the result, the Vale players were praised for their efforts – particularly Aaron Dawson and Kros Brown.

Vale are at home to Craigie in the league on Saturday this week in a 2pm kick-off.
