Talent on display in double showcase

-

A Christmas Craft Fair and the launch of Strathearn Artspace’s Christmas A5 Exhibition take place this Saturday.

Angela Lennon, arts programme co-ordinator at the venue on Crieff’s Comrie Street, told the Herald:“We are delighted by the fantastic response we had to both the Christmas Craft and Makers Fair and the Christmas A5 Exhibition.

“I think it is proof that Strathearn really does punch above its weight when it comes to the number of creative and talented people making and producing high-quality art, crafts and produce.

“The fair showcases the very best of local contemporary craft and design plus artisan food and drink producers.

“There will also be a prize draw with some excellent goodies up for grabs, including cinema tickets, a £20 gift voucher for Carnelian Arts and a Strathearn Artspace gift voucher for the Christmas A5 Art Exhibition, among many others.”

Entry is free. The fair runs from 11am to 5pm with the preview of the Christmas A5 Exhibition running from noon to 2pm.

Angela continued:“The exhibition will include a range of work with over 60 pieces submitted by local artists and photographers; the perfect chance to snap up affordable and original works of art before they go on sale throughout the exhibition, which runs until December 20.

“Hot spiced cider and mince pies will be served.

“There will be a cash prize for the first and second places awarded for the best work submitted.

“We are very excited to be hosting two wonderful events here at Strathearn Artspace – it’s the perfect place to make a head start on your Christmas shopping.”
