Crieff Drama date nears - and they only have pies for you
Crieff Drama Group has confirmed its next offering.
A lunchtime rendition of‘A Performance, a Pie and a Pint’will take place on Sunday, February 13, from 12.30pm in Strarthearn Arts’ auditorium.
Tickets are on sale now, priced at £10.
And, as the title suggests, the fee includes a complementary pie and chips, plus a drink from the licensed bar.
Conceived and compiled by John Cummings, the show is a staged reading performance entitled‘A Rousing Read’and is a light-hearted and witty look at the world of books.
Fiona Wellstood, chair of Crieff Drama Group, said:“We hope that the relaxed cafe-style format will be popular with our audience.
“With doors open at 12.30pm for the food and a drink, the 60-minute performance starts at 1pm with a
mid-way interval when the licensed bar and other goodies will be available.”
John explained that, as always in his staged readings, the cast will be called upon to portray a wide breadth of characters – familiar names, past and present; authors and critics; quotes encompassing incredible facts and hilarious fiction.
