Councillor Peter Barrett is the equalities lead for the local authority.

He said:“Every February, communities in Perth and Kinross come together to celebrate LGBT+ History Month in a colourful festival of inclusion.

“LGBT+ History Month is about increasing the visibility of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, promoting civil rights and raising awareness of current matters affecting the community.

“I want to thank all of the groups and partners who have helped put together a great programme of events for LGBT History Month in Perth and Kinross.”

Several activities have already taken place, such as a panel on LGBTQIA+ parenting on February 9.
