Centre and hospital covered by two routes

Service 49 operates five days- a- week – not Wednesday or Sunday – and links the main housing areas to the south of the High Street/ Townhead, together with two new housing developmen­ts north of Hunter Street, to the town centre and St Margaret’s Hospital.

Service 49A, meanwhile, operates on Wednesdays only and links Grand Eagle s and the residentia­l areas to the west, including Strathearn House, to the town centre and St Margaret’s.

Both services operate hourly during the day.

A flat fare of £ 1.20 for a single ticket applies throughout the town.

Senior citizens and people with disabiliti­es who have a National Entitlemen­t Card travel free of charge.

The vehicle itself has a low floor and is wheelchair accessible.
