High School toilet fire
Emergency services were called to Crieff High School following a fire in one of the ground floor toilets last week.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service ( SFRS) said two engines were dispatched to Strathearn Community Campus after the alarm was raised at 12.45pm on
Monday, February 21.
Fortunately, the school’s internal safety system extinguished the small blaze before the firefighters arrived.
A spokesperson for the SFRS said: “We were alerted at 12.45pm on Monday, February 21, to reports of a fire affecting the ground floor toilets of Crieff High School.
“Operations control immediately mobilised two fire engines to the location. However, the fire was extinguished by the internal drencher system before firefighters arrived.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
