Roads to close for contest

Several roads are due to be closed to allow next month’s Youth Tour of Scotland event to take place.

A Perth and Kinross Council spokespers­on said these include the following:

• The B935 Forteviot to Forgandenn­y from its junction with the B934 Dunning to A9(T) Cairnie Braes to its junction with the C412 Invermay on Saturday, April 2, between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm.

• C412 Invermay from its junction with the B935 Forteviot to Forgandenn­y to its junction with the U52 Green of Invermay on Saturday, April 2, between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm.

• U52 Green of Invermay from its junction with the C412 Invermay to its junction with the B935 Forteviot to Forgandenn­y on Saturday, April 2, between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm.

• C410 (Crieff-MaddertyBa­lgowan-Huntingtow­er) from C460 to C459 on Sunday, April 3, between the hours of 7am and 5pm.

• C460 (St Davids-Madderty) from C459 to C410 on Sunday, April 3, between the hours of 7am and 5pm.

• C459 (Kinkell-New Fowlis) from C460 to C410 on Sunday, April 3, between the hours of 7am and 5pm.

• U9 (St Davids-Madderty) from C410 to C460 on Sunday, April 3, between the hours of 7am and 5pm.

• U56 Station Road, Forgandenn­y from its junction with the B935 Main Road to its junction with the access road to Strathalla­n School on Monday, April 4, between the hours of 8.30am and 1.30pm.

• School Road, Forgandenn­y from its junction with the U56 Station Road to its junction with the access road to Strathalla­n School on Monday, April 4, between the hours of 8.30am and 1.30pm.

The council has said signed diversions will be in place.
