This is an opportunity to have an evening out after all the lockdown restrictions

Members of Ardoch Amateur Dramatic Society are looking forward to taking to the stage in Braco Village Hall for a longawaited production next month.

The local thespians will be presenting three one- act plays – ‘ Socks’ by Rosemary Frisino Toohey, featuring the Junior Drama Group; ‘Beata Beatrix’ by Gillian Plowman and ‘Gosforth’s Fete’ by Alan Ayckbourn.

Originally planned for last November, Covid restrictions prevented the staging of the entertaining evenings, which are now scheduled for April 7, 8 and 9, with curtain-up at 7.30pm.

There will also be a bar, raffle and live music from The Brazen Feddals during the intervals.

A spokesperson for Ardoch Amateur Dramatic Society said: “This is an opportunity to have an evening out after all the lockdown restrictions.

“The seating will be open plan to conform with government regulations.

“Two of the plays, ‘Beata Beatrix’ and ‘Gosforth’s Fete’, are being performed by the adult members of the group and we welcome some of the junior members who are presenting ‘Socks’.

“There will be live music in the intervals between each play performed by local musicians, also a bar and raffle.

“This is the first opportunity for the Society to perform live for almost two years.”

Tickets, costing £6, are available from the Braco Shop or can be purchased on the door.

Anyone holding tickets from the original dates of the production will be honoured.
