Welcome for PRI travel website

A pilot project to help people plan their journey to Perth Royal Infirmary is said to be making travel “easier for patients”.

Regiona l t ransport partnership Ta c t ran, alongside NHS Tayside, has developed the Go NHS Tayside website to assist those attending appointments.

The pilot initially focused on helping those attending appointments at PRI’s Urology Department, with almost 400 people accessing www.gonhstayside.co.uk.

NHS Tayside’s director of performance and activity, Hazel Barnett, said: “The initial phase of the pilot at PRI has shown that it has helped make travel easier for patients.

“We know travelling to hospital can cause some worry for people so this website will hopefully help improve patients’ experiences of visiting hospital.”

The Go NHS Tayside website has been developed with Scottish Government funding.
